[TR_SAVEGAME_MANAGER]

TR SaveGame manager is an extern program you could launch clicking on {Savegames} button.

Main scope of TR SaveGame manager is to archive savegame, removing them from Tomb Raider Level Editor folder and save them in current savegame archive (*.trs file).
When SaveGame manager removes savegames. it lets last (more recent) savegame in TRLE folder but renames it as "first slot" savegame.
In this way you'll can to backup ALL savegame in progress of your game, and by other hand, to have always free slots in Tomb Raider to save new savegames.

To performs this operation you must use command menu {Savegames->Import savegames from Tomb Raider folder}

You can add to savegame records, screenshots and text note.

{Add a text note}

1) Single click on a savegame name in list box.
2) Click on {Change} button
3) Insert in {Notes} field of new {Savegames properties) window, the text notes

{Add a screenshot with capture}

1) Before starting SaveGame manager, you must choose Level Manager command menu: {Preferences->Level Manager} and uncheck (remove check from) {Enable screenshot capture...} option.
In this way you'll have enabled screenshot capture for SaveGame manager.

2) Select level in level list
3) Click on {Savegames} button
4) If current level is not set in Tomb Raider Level Editor folder (name with missing "(*)") Level Manager prompt you to ask if you wish set in TRLE folder this level. You must answer {YES}

Now, using TR SaveGame manager there are two ways to add screenshots to savegame records.

- Add screenshots while you are playing

You can capture screenshots hitting on {Print Screen} key, while you are playing and Level Manager will capture screenshot and prompt you to ask at which slot you wish link current screenshot.
For this reason you, before hitting {Print screen}, should save current position in a slot, with Tomb Raider {Save} command, and then hit {Print screen} key.

- Add old screenshots from SaveGame manager.

If you have already an image and you wish add it to savegame record, you can select savegame record in list box and then click on {Change} button.
In {Savegame Properties) window, click on {Browse} button in {Screenshot} frame, and select your image to add.

{Remove screenshot from savegame record}

1) To click on record with screenshot to remove
2) To cick on {Change} button
3) To check (sign) {Remove screenshot linked at current savegame} option
4) To click on {ok} button

[USE TR SaveGame Manager externally from TR Level Manager]

When you use TR SaveGame Manager to handle savegame archive of custom levels saved with TR Level Manager, you don't must change {Prefrences->Archive}, because these preference are the only correct values to handle savegame archive in Level Manager.
However, if you wish use TR SaveGame manager to handle other savegame archive, for example to handle savegame of The Last Revelation, or Chronicles games, you should create new archive with menu command: {File->New}

{Create new savegame archive}

To understand values to set in Preferences new archive window, you have to understand how is organized an savegame archive.

Following is a sample of structure archive folders:

This archive is on "D:" drive, and its main folder is named "MySaveGame"

Main_Folder Sub_Folder  Savegame_Files
--------------------------------------
D:\MySaveGame
		Slot1
				savegame.0
				savegame.1
				savegame.2
		Slot2
				savegame.0
				savegame.1
				savegame.2
				savegame.5
		Slot3
				savegame.3

--------------------------------------

We suppose that this archive is relative to Tomb Raider The Last Revelation.
This tomb raider version allows to handle not more of 15 savegames (slot) at same time.

Now, we set correct preference for above sample archive:

{Main archive folder} = "D:\MySaveGame"
{Tomb Raider folder} = "C:\Program files\Core Design\Tomb Raider The Last Revelation"
{Tomb.exe full path} = "C:\Program files\Core Design\Tomb Raider The Last Revelation\tomb4.exe"
{Progressive sub-folder names} = "Slot"
{Max savegames number} = 15

When you create new archive, really you can handle an old backup of savegames.
I.e. in above example, after we have created this "new" archive, Tr SaveGame manager, shows us 8 savegames archived in it (see above) + eventual savegames in Tomb Raider folder (not yet archived).

If you have many savegame in a single folder but you have not created sub folders like "slot" + progressive number, you can create a new archive, too, but before giving command {File->New} you should change {Preferences->Tr SaveGame Manager} and add check to option: {Search savegames in all subfolders of archive main folder}
In this way, Tr SaveGame manager search any savegame files saved in Main Folder, regardless if it is save in a specific subfolder.

[Tools->Reorder archive]

This tool allow to reorganize current archive in different ways.
You can remove double savegames (equal savegames), re-sort it, and other.
You should set a new (empty) main folder, to host new reorganized archive.

[Tools->Rescan archive and Tr folder]

This command rescan all savegame in main archive folder, and also in Tomb Raider folder.
Normally you should use this command only if you have changed manually files in main folder archive, or you've played Tomb Raider, creating new savegames in its slots.

[Play savegames]

This command allow to watch (examine) current selected savegames.
When you select one (or more) savegames and click on this button, SaveGame manager will perform following operations:

1) Remove savegames from Tomb Raider folder, and save (backup) them in temporary internal folder
2) Copy selected savegames in Tomb Raider folder
3) Start Tomb Raider program
4) When you will close Tr SaveGame manager program, it prompt you to restore old (original) savegames in Tomb Raider folder.
5) If you answer YES, it will restore savegame from temporary folder (see point 1) to Tomb Raider folder

[Start Tomb Raider]

This command start Tomb Raider program, without change savegames in its folder.
